Report content
If you have seen illegal or objectionable content in the FishandBeer app or on this site, tell us. We review every report.
How to report
In the app (fastest): open the post or profile, tap the menu, and choose Report or Block. Reports go straight to our moderation queue and are reviewed by a person.
By email: anyone, with or without an account, can report content they believe is illegal by emailing support@fishandbeer.app. So that we can act on it, a useful notice includes:
- an explanation of why you believe the content is illegal;
- a link to, or precise description of, where the content is;
- your name and email address; and
- a statement that you believe the notice is accurate and complete.
You do not have to give your name or email if the notice concerns the sexual abuse or sexual exploitation of a child, child sexual abuse material, or the solicitation (grooming) of a child.
What happens next
- We confirm we received your notice, review it diligently, objectively and without undue delay, and remove content or restrict accounts that break our Terms of Use, our Community guidelines, or the law.
- We tell you what we decided and how you can challenge it. If any automated tool contributed to the decision, we say so.
- If we restrict someone's content or account, we give them a statement of reasons and a route to appeal to a person who did not make the original decision. Appeals, out-of-court dispute settlement, and going to court all stay open (see the Terms of Use, section 18).
- If we become aware of content suggesting a criminal offence that threatens someone's life or safety, we inform the competent authorities as the law requires.
Point of contact (EU Digital Services Act)
Our single point of contact for users and authorities on content matters is support@fishandbeer.app, matching the contact named in our Terms of Use. You can write to it in English or Estonian, and a person, not just automated tools, handles it.
